What some of my clients have said...
I enjoyed the session very much. It has made me think about wearing some new colours and confirmed that some of the ones I had chosen for myself suited me.
We really enjoyed our afternoon and both now feel more confident about choosing colours to suit. The make-up bit was fun too and we'll definitely give that a whirl now and again! Many thanks for your time and expertise.
Thanks for a great session. I can be seen clutching my swatches when ever I go shopping and I have had lots of compliments on the make-up in particular! We'll stay in touch. Thanks again.
I thoroughly enjoyed the session and had a successful shopping trip afterwards with my colour swatches, bought a purple dress and a hot pink chiffon top. I really like the make up products. Thanks very much for all the advice and make up tips.
I really enjoyed the colour session. I bought a few bits and pieces on Saturday, wearing a top to-day from my colour range and three people have said to me I look well and I they like the top I am wearing (Turquoise).....fab! I feel released from always choosing black clothes..... Christmas party dress is going to be very different this year!!!
Deirdre and I had an absolute ball last Friday...we really enjoyed our afternoon with you. You should have been a fly on the wall the following day as we navigated our way through George St and Princes St trying to find our colours. What a laugh...
I really enjoyed getting my colours done – it definitely makes you feel more confident about which colours suit you.
Just a wee note to say thanks for a great afternoon on Saturday, I really enjoyed the session. I read through the book last night and plan to go through my wardrobe over the next week, I am even wearing some colour at work today!!
Thanks again, I really enjoyed the consulation and am really excited about going shopping.
Yes, yesterday was great. I had a good fun. Going shopping today with new pallette.
Thanks Judith - I had a great time! I had my chart open the whole time shopping and bought scarves and vest tops in my colours - it actually made shopping easier and gave me the confidence to buy things that I would never normally!

AWARD WINNER - Top Scottish CMB Consultant
Hey ladies, I thought I would share my news with you all. When I attended the CMB annual conference last week in London I picked up the award for the most successful CMB Image Consultant in Scotland. I am so please and would like to thank all of you who have supported me in building up my business over the last 18 months. I was really delighted to recieve the award and the conference was absolutely fantastic.
There were over 150 consultants at the conference who came from as far as China, Sweden and South Africa. It was held in the gorgeous Grand Connaught Rooms near Covent Garden.
I attended some fabulous workshops in the morning on building a capsule ward
robe, presenting skills and marketing for your business. We all then enjoyed networking and catching up at the awards lunch. In the afternoon former president of IFIC and Life Coach Sue Donnelly gave a presentation on connecting with others through colour which was extremely insightful!

My absolute favourite, Tony Glenville the Creative Director at London College of Fashion, presented his first hand account of all the seasons forthcoming trends from the fashion capitals of the world. I loved it.
It was then a quick glass of champagne, more gossiping and then I headed straight to the shops to bag myself some London clobber!

Just want to say that the workshosp was brilliant. It was just what the three of us needed and we were babbling excitedly about it for the net few hours over dinner. It has most definitely been a year of finding the true me and letting her come out and the workshop has added even more to the mix. I hadnt realised how much i had been holding back my personality....! Loads of people have noticed a difference already and I'm feeling so much more like the real me is finally being seen. And that's before I've even had the chance to go mental in Armstrongs!! Just wait world! Thanks you so so much! You're brilliant at what you do!

Here is what some of my clients have said............
Just wanted to say that Linda and I thoroughly enjoyed our Make-Up Lesson. It was nice to learn new techniques in applying make-up and in what order to apply them !I usually go for the same eye colours but now feel bold enough to try new shades and blend them in.We felt all glam as we left
I had a really good time and felt I learnt quite a lot. It was nice that it was such a relaxed atmosphere and you made everyone feel very comfortable experimenting in front of each other.
Thanks for your email. We thoroughly enjoyed our make up lesson and I am starting to wear more make up and more often than before, ie, I am less scared and a bit more confident now! - so thank you very much.

ME AT LONDON FASHION WEEK!
Monday, 1 March 2010
I was lucky enough to make it down to London Fashion week last Friday and had such a fabulous day. The Catwalk and the shopping was fantastic. I saw 4 shows, Candy Rock - Light airy with accents of pastels; Swallows and Amazons - luxurious layers, ruffels and textures; Vintage Glamour and Betty Jackson's Spring/Summer collection - warm and feminine flower prints, lace trims, momochrome, steel greys, navy soft silks and draped jersey dresses. Good news girls, the heels on the shoes were all smaller than of late so it looks like finally we shall be able to strut our stuff this season and beyond in shoes that don't kill our feet! he he. Hair was classy and quitely understated, make up was statement lips and purple eyes. As I was in the front row (thank you CMB!!) I managed to get you all some photo's and video footage so take a look and be inspired.

Long Live McQueen
Monday, 15 February 2010
Like many last week, I was shocked to hear of Alexander McQueen’s death. He was an amazing British talent who influenced fashion greatly over the last couple of decades. Even for those of you who know nothing about fashion, McQueen would have been a familiar name and you no doubt would have seen his designs even if you were unaware they were his. Ski Style
Monday, 8 February 2010

Last week I managed to take some time out and hit the Scottish ski slopes for one of their best seasons ever. I was amazed at how good the snow and the facilities were. So imagine my horror when me, an Image Consultant was referred to as a ‘good lad’ by the lift attendant at Glenshee! I was mortified and complained all the way home to my husband that I obviously needed to get my ski outfit sorted. He did point out that it was an easy mistake to make as all that was really on show was my nose (it was -6 degrees!) That may well have been true but as we moved onto Avimore for another day of skiing, I made sure I had on my makeup, hair down and sparkly woollen hat.
As I observed the Scottish snow boarders and skiers in their outfits I realised that to look stylish with all that extra bulk on the slopes you need to exaggerate your true style and have fun with it. Against the white background of the snowy mountains, colour, pattern and shape can look amazing. So here are my tips, whatever your style preference, on how to stay cool on the slopes this season.
City Chics – Drainpipe ski pants if you have the legs. Not much room for long johns underneath but you will look great. Cream can look very elegant but make sure you have access to a washing machine and remember those oversized sun glasses to complete the look.
Classics – All-in-one’s are making a comeback. Choose one with a nipped in waist and belt. Make sure you reserve some energy to strip off every time you go to the loo!
Dramatics – Go for a short sharp biker style jacket matched with ski pants in block colour or strong shades.
Creatives – Choose jackets and trouser in the must have of the moment 80’s pastels and patterns. Mix it up.
Romantics – Fur trim on a hood or a hat will have you looking gorgeous and girlie. Watch out when it gets wet and freezes as it can look and smell more like wet dog!
Naturals – Pick a longer jacket that is really warm and full of pockets inside and out to keep all your ski essentials. Try one with detatchable sleeves if you ski at different times of the year. Very practical.

Do or Don’t Do Double Denim
Tuesday, 26 January 2010

Long before I embarked on a career as an Image Consultant I learnt from a very early age (as did many 80’s kids) that double denim was the ultimate fashion crime. Denim head to toe is not a good look on anyone unless you are auditioning for status quo. Stone wash 80’s double denim is the worst of all but even matching your dark and your light denim together is just pure wrong. Or is it?
The double denim no no is being given the yes yes by many celebs of late and is now set as one of the key trends for 2010 spring/summer YIKES!! And I have to say when you see the models on the D&G, Chloe and Ralph Lauren catwalks rocking the double denim look , I do think maybe we could do it too and do denim twice as nice? The high street is now full of jeggings, jackets, skirts, blouses and shirts all in denim so just in case you decide to go against all that you have learned about crimes of fashion, here are my top tips on how to wear double denim this season:
· Don’t go for the same weight of denim, layer different weights e.g. a heavier denim jacket with a lightweight denim shirt
· Break up your denim look with a wide belt. Belt your boyfriends denim shirt over your skinny’s add heels and away you go
· Team your denim with lux fabrics such as velvet, satin, silk and sequins for a more styled look
· Mix up the textures using patchwork denim teamed with frayed jeans etc.
· Mix up the shades of denim. Boys stick with the darker indigo or black jeans and team with blue denim jacket
· If in doubt do dark denim on your bottom half and light denim on the top
Good luck with daring the double denim look of the season!!
